Arianna at almost 2 weeks

Jewel said she is now 7 lbs. 5 oz and is so big! She looks so cute. She likes to stick out her tongue, snuggle and think hard. :-)

In 2015 we were in the states two months. We went from Denver to DC, to SC, TX, MO, NE, and a bunch of other states. I was able to collect these row patterns at maybe 40 quilt shops in various states. Finally got 34 of the 40 patterns sewn and put into a queen size quilt for my bed. It is reversible. On the right the black buggy is from OH, 4th from top with houses is from Katy, TX, where Teresa lives. The umbrella one is from MD where Matthew lives and Joe & Christin used to live. The water guns are from WY. There are "license plates" for each of the blocks represented so I can identify where I went. It was a fun trip.

My Uncle and Aunt live in Fargo, ND. The crow on the right side with the watering can is from North Platte, NE, where son Peter and family live. On the left toward the top is peach water tower from SC where Stephen lives.

Peter and Jewel were able to check out of the hospital on Thursday the 25 and take the little one to her new home.

Arianna Noelle Ward has arrived

She arrived January 23, 2018, at 11:20 AM, Central Standard Time in North Platte, Nebraska, weighing 6 lbs, 11 oz. and 19 inches. The Reeves were there to welcome her to the world. She is even waving to us in Hope's picture. Praise God for a safe delivery.

Gingerbread Cookie House Party

We passed out about 2,000 invites at schools to make a gingerbread house on December 23rd. There were nine houses decorated using icing, chocolates, Skittles, cereal and other stuff. Each one was different and everyone finished in under 75 minutes. They all seemed happy with their results.

This gal used strawberry pokky to make the chimney. Others used small chocolate bar pieces.

One Japanese candy is a small cookie topped with chocolate that served as trees in this endeavor (note the front of the house).

A little family history.

I was brought up in a military family. Dad and Mom were both in the Air Force when they married back in 1952. Dad enlisted in WWII and served 26 years. Then he became a lawyer. My oldest brother, Joe, graduated from Annapolis in 1975 and served 6 years. At my Dad's funeral in 1994, my four brothers were there. Only Donald, in the wheelchair, did not serve. Tom and Bob were both Navy. I find it amusing that my brothers decided on the Navy and not the Air Force.
