Trucks on the Road

I like to photograph the trucks that have art painted on them, like a moving billboard.  Here's some of what we have seen.

Time for a snack!

Guess what we transport?

April 27, 2017 Sight and Sound

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown, PA.  This is the view from the entrance to the lobby.  A very nice place to stay.  We had breakfast at the cafe with a view of the elevators to the 5th floor

On the drive  to Sight and Sound we saw these beautiful trees.  The program was Jonah and was really a good show, as the others we have seen.  The fish/whale was something else as was the boat Jonah was on--something like 15 tons and it opened up to the inside where he was sleeping.  Amazing how they put all this together.

   The Jonah car
Spruce Lane Lodge and the cottage we stayed in below.  A very nice, quiet, well-kept place, reasonably priced.

We had dinner at the Good and Plenty  restaurant just before closing.  This has good food and plenty of it.  A must go to if you are in  PA.

Excellent home-cooked meals at Good and Plenty

Lancaster County, PA had these signs of veterans posted on all the electric poles.   A fine tribute to our military and families.

Monday, April 24 to Wednesday, April 26, 2017

We drove back down to West Virginia via the same route we took going to Maine.  We got back to where we were staying about 8:00 pm.  Christin and Sara were at the house waiting.  Little Rosalee was crawling on the floor and the cat was playing with whatever.   We got things organized then went to sleep after they left.

Tuesday morning we picked up Sara to take to Fairmont, WVA, to meet Brother White at a Missions Conference.  This was one of the first churches that supported him and his wife 50 years ago.  Fellowship Baptist Church is a very friendly church.  Everyone was happy to see us and meet us.  However, I forgot to take pictures.   😢  We stayed at the same hotel as Mr. White.

Wednesday morning we went to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast and had h u g e plates of stuff like French toast, eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc.  All very good and it set us for the day.    Henry caught a cold and his voice is rather scratchy.

Sara really loves her adopted Grandpa White

We drove back to Ranson and dropped off Sara then headed to Morgantown,
Pennsylvania, for our meeting in the evening.

We were at the Bethesda Baptist Church in Pottstown.  Pastor Wexler and his wife took us to eat at the Windmill Restaurant-a family-style, Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Excellent.

Pastor asked Henry to give and update on the work and then answer questions during the church service.

After service, I was talking to some people at the display table and gave each one a crocheted cross bookmark that Mrs. Matsunaga made in Japan.  Everyone was happy to receive one in the color of their choice.

Sunday, April 23, North Belgrade and Wiscasset, Maine

Welcome to North Belgrade

                                              Henry and Pastor Tiner

Pastor Tiner of North Belgrade Baptist Church.  One young                                   lady made a public profession of her faith in Christ.

We went to Wiscasset, ME, to Bible Baptist Church for the evening service. They put us up at this Lodge about a mile from the church.  Very nice, home cooked breakfast and wonderful room.  we were one of four guests there in this off-season.  In a few weeks it will be completely booked.
