Typhoon and lots of rain following

The 4th of July saw rain from a passing typhoon inundate the mainland. Creeks near us were overflowing at one point.  There was a steady downpour into Saturday so far.  These are photos from around our near area.  Our area was mild compared to other parts of Japan which were flooded to the rooftops.

The creek below us and a neighbor's veggies

This is the main creek that flows out of our area and into Fujiwaradai and eventually into the Muko River several miles away.  This overflowed its banks just beyond this photo (but I can't find that photo) and onto the road.  Normally the water height is less than half this.

Looking down out of a second floor window onto the netted blackberries and flooded grass

The field next to our house was cut on Monday and now flooded on Thursday.

The pink lilies bloomed, adding some pleasing color to a dreary day

Just in case you wanted to hunt...
