Ward Wanderings

New Church plant in Kato City.

This is the front of the building, two stories with about 500 square meters on each floor. Barely enough room to walk around it. We will be able to park across the street in the other direction at a Hyogo-prefecture building. It sits on a busy corner of the main road 175 going through Hyogo prefecture. It's located in the business district. There's two electronic stores close by, a Daiso, an Aeon mall, McDonald's across the street out back, a gas station and a convenience store.

These are the front doors--we will probably use the double doors on the right for the main entrance.

This room will be Mr. Fukamoto's apartment on the second floor. It has a shower room to the right in the below photo.

This is where the kitchen sink used to be. It got put upstairs. A toilet room will be installed to the left.

This is the room with most of the wall paper removed and the sticky window covering removed. Across the street is the realtor's office.

The sink unit was moved upstairs. There will be cabinets and a fridge eventually put in here.

Before and after photos of the "back yard" which really ends at the fence on the left. That ditch is rather deep and can run swiftly after it rains.

Coca Cola and Charlotte

We met Lucette Helotie in Charlotte today and spent and hour talking. We last met them when they lived in Florida in 2010. It was really nice to catch up.

Our Stephen now works at Coca Cola in Charlotte and we stopped by to see the place.

This first floor display is a history of Coke with original items like a bottle capper and a fountain dispenser.

Not sure what this is on someone's desk, but it's a spiffy can.

There's all sorts of Coke stuff on the walls around the building and the employees can have free coke during the day.

We saw this Big Boy but not by the restaurant...what he's here for is anyone's guess.

Jesus Saves

I finally made it to a place with my name...Celeste, Texas, located northeast of Dallas. In 2015 when I did the Row by Row Experience, which is visiting quilt shops across the country, the quilt shop in Celeste was not on our scheduled stops. I did get one of the fabric license plates from the store sent to me and have it now on my Bible book cover. Anyway, we got to visit the Quilt shop and visit the town some. I took pictures of several things that had my name on them, as you can see.

Omaha Zoo and Children's Museum

We four took Arianna to the zoo in Omaha, a four=hour trip each way. Made for a very long day.

This windmill was at a rest stop and is made from scrap wood. Maybe Henry will make me one :)

At the Children's Museum she went shopping first, then in the Medical section she was answering phones and going down slides and generally having a great time. It's a nice hands-on place for kids, especially on a rainy day.

Wednesday night, Peter was ordained to the gospel ministry. Pastor Reeves (and Peter's father-in-law) and Henry laid hands on him. Henry then gave the charge to Peter to preach the gospel
