August 24, 2015, TX, OK, MO

We reluctantly left Teresa in Houston and headed to Missouri to visit friends.  It was nearly a 12 hour trip and we arrived about 10:00 pm.  Along the way we saw many sights and just enjoyed what America is.  BTW, Happy Birthday, Matthew!

This is William Shakespeare.  He is an unusual house cat of the man with whom we stayed while in Houston/Katy, Texas. He had a thing for rubbing Henry's shoes and here Henry is scratching his back with a broom, apparently a favorite thing to do.

The  original female members of the Ward family with Henry.
Going through Dallas about noon on Monday.  There's five levels of traffic seen here.

Along this and many elevated roads in TX, all the pillars had a Lone Star.
Fabric Fanatics   http://www.fabricfanatics.com in Plano, TX, specializes in batiks and Judy Neimeyer patterns.  http://www.quiltworx.com  Beautiful quilts and fabrics.

The Missouri Welcome Center had this wall with license plates.  Really interesting.

Wide open spaces as far as the eye can see.
